Transcription of letter by Rev. H.W. Wasse (English Chaplain in Rome) to Walter Severn
Wasse was not in Rome when Joseph Severn died but left an account with Curate Mr. Colby. He asks for a small painting for the Vestry as a replacement for 'Cicero at Jerusalem' (unfinished?) that Joseph Severn had written to say that he was doing for Wasse. Would Walter Severn agree to opening a public subscription for a monument to Joseph Severn.
