Autograph letter by Lady Jane Shelley to Sir Rennell Rodd
Lady Jane Shelley fears that proposals to place a monument over Shelley’s grave will be put into effect after her death. Suggests placing her own monument to forestall the plans and asks if there would be any difficulty or objections to this from Rome. Would prefer to leave the grave as it is. Asks if a contract can be obtained to prevent changes now and in the future. Suggests Onslow Ford and finding a site in England.
